🐾 Meet the Maker: Cat-Themed Gifts Handmade with Love by a Fellow Cat Mum
Hi! I’m Julie, the artist, illustrator, and proud cat mum behind Crafty JuJu Designs – a one-woman shop creating handmade gifts for cat lovers, inspired by real cats and real life.
From wooden cat pins and vinyl stickers to adorable accessories, every item is designed and illustrated by me with love. My inspiration? The real cats who’ve left paw prints on my heart – from my own feline companions (past and present) to cherished kitties belonging to friends and customers who’ve shared their stories.
Living with chronic illnesses has shaped my creative path, but it’s never stopped me from pursuing this dream. Crafty JuJu Designs isn’t just about cute cat things (though there’s plenty of that!) – it’s a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the joy cats bring to our everyday lives.
💖 When you shop with me, you’re supporting an independent artist and helping to keep the magic of handmade alive. Every order helps me keep creating, sharing stories, and connecting with fellow cat lovers around the world.
Thank you for being here – and welcome to the Crafty JuJu community, where every cat has a story and every gift is made with heart. 🐾
I'd love to have more cats (one can dream!), but my hubby says no – for now! 😅 One day, though... 😍
If you’d like to keep up with all things Crafty JuJu – from behind-the-scenes peeks to future shop updates – come follow me on Instagram at @CraftyJuJuDesigns.
You can also find me on YouTube, where I share weekly studio vlogs, and I’m on all the usual socials under the same name: Crafty JuJu Designs. Come say hi!

✨ Meet The Kitty Cat Family ✨

🌈 Kira
Our beautiful white and tortoiseshell queen. I always said she looked like someone had splodged paint across her back with a brush – a true one-of-a-kind. She was the eldest of our feline family and proudly ruled the house.
Kira sadly passed away at 19 years old, but she’ll always hold a special place in our hearts. She loved nothing more than a cosy cuddle, a warm lap, and basking in the sunshine. One summer, she even managed to burn her little ears – after that, I made sure to dab on a bit of sun cream to keep her safe! ☀️💛

🌈 Jenson
My big, cuddly boy with the loudest voice and the biggest heart. With his dark fur and ¼ Maine Coon heritage, he was noticeably larger than our other cats – and he definitely carried himself like a king!
Jenson was the fearless protector of our garden and a keen hunter. He loved his belly rubs and had so much to say – honestly, he never stopped talking! I’m convinced he knew exactly how loud he was too... he’d keep meowing until he got the attention he wanted (which was often!). 😄💬💕

🌈 Tony
My cheeky ginger and white boy with a serious love for food! He was a very talented little thief – no matter how well we hid the snacks, Tony would always find a way to sniff them out. His favourite? Popcorn – he absolutely couldn’t resist it! 🍿
He was also the master of getting stuck in things... from shopping bags to cardboard sleeves that yoghurts come in, if there was a way to wedge himself somewhere, Tony would find it. 🙈💛 He kept us laughing every single day.

💜 Bruce
Our handsome tuxedo cat and Tony’s brother. Bruce is now 10 years old, but he still gets the mad zoomies around the house like a kitten! 🏃⬛💨
He’s a bit of a scaredy-cat – he jumps at the tiniest noise or shadow, bless him. But when he’s not being dramatic, he loves to play chase with his toys (and especially with boxes – but what cat doesn’t love a good box, right?). 📦😻

💜 Dave
Our proud little hunter, always bringing us “gifts” from the garden! 🎁🐭
He definitely has his favourite humans – my husband and daughter are his people. Me? He’ll only come to me if I’m the last human standing in the house! 😂 Classic Dave – affectionate on his terms, and that’s exactly how he likes it.

💜 Simba
Our adopted boy with a big personality! I saw he needed a new home and just fell in love. 💕
But don’t be fooled by the sight of his fluffy belly – that’s strictly off-limits! 😅 He does love a good head rub, though... as long as he’s in the mood. If he’s not feeling it, he’ll let you know – either with a look or, occasionally, his teeth! (Though to be fair, he’s mellowed a lot in the two years we’ve had him.)
Simba loves company, enjoys his food, and takes his job of keeping the garden free of unfamiliar cats very seriously. He’s got a big heart – and a bit of a spicy streak!

🌈 Meatloaf
My beloved ginger boy from my teenage years. I met him while volunteering at the RSPCA, where he was waiting for a new home. I fell in love instantly and managed to convince my foster carer to let him come home with us. 💛
Meatloaf was a big lad with a bold personality – and yes, he was a bit of a biter! But with time and trust, I became the only one he’d let tickle his tummy. That felt like such a win. 😄
Sadly, I only have one photo of him, tucked away in the attic somewhere… which is why his illustration now helps keep his memory alive. 💜

💜 Nala
My friend’s gorgeous 15-year-old girl, full of love… and (according to her mum!) just a tiny bit lacking in the brains department! 😅 She’s incredibly pretty and affectionate, but logic isn’t exactly her strong suit. Her favourite trick? Staring at an open door… then meowing at a closed one instead! 🚪🐾
In her younger days, Nala was very territorial – feisty and always ready to stand her ground with the neighbourhood cats. These days, she’s much more mellow and prefers a cosy snooze on the day bed in my craft room, where she keeps a gentle eye on all the creativity. 😻🧵💤
